Castle stock photos...

Here's another look at random stuff in the holdings of the Arsenal of Argghhh! I figured some of you guys and gals would like to just obsess trying to figure out what that stuff is. Some is easy, some not so much...

Oh, here - click this link to get a larger pic to indulge your curiosity...

Remember - just because it may not be so where you live, doesn't mean that this stuff isn't legal to own, federal, state, and local, where I live.  Because it *is* legal where I live.  If it isn't legal where you live - mebbe you should consider moving!  Especially if you live in some place like, oh, California.

Gee, both whammies took place simultaneously, too. The Lefties are getting better at their timing.

Hmmm....
I wonder how that is going to play out in cali.  If you can not carry concealed because you can carry openly, but you can't carry openly now, then you can not carry at all.  I am starting to wonder if this isn't a way to force California into a legal 'constitutional' corner.

Either they allow 'shall' issue concealed carry, or they leave open carry alone.  Stripping people of the 2nd part of the 2A is not going to fly me thinks.

We shall see....

MM3, don't overestimate the intelligence of Kalifonios. They've been going down hill since the late 40s, it's just accelerated of late. If anything positive happens it will quite temporary.

You do have to note that the call on concealed carry was in Federal court, the change in open carry was in state court.

What are the things that look like two sheet metal discs with some sort of sliding handles?  (Under the RPG top left, hanging on the wall.)

I note there is still some empty space, waiting to be filled....

I do not see any tags or anything thay may help your (eventual) heirs figure out what the heck everything is, or what it may be worth.  Might be a good project for a snowy day (in lieu of hiking thru snow drifts or stuff like that.)

That's a WWI Brit artillery/MG plotter, John.

There *is* a book, well, several, since I have to keep things separate for legal purposes.  But no tags.  I've thought about it though.

Here is a place that sells all sorts of tags ties and seals for all sorts of purposes (critters, machinery, whatever...)  They will stamp sequential numbers on them and brief text (Argghhh!,  Donovan or Collection or whatever) free or at minimal cost.  Available in brass, aluminum, plastic, and others.

Highly recommended for anyone trying to maintain inventory of their collection items.

Pix are much easier....both for the person doing the inventory and the person inheriting said inventory.  Put them on a flashdrive, with thorough descriptors for file names, and keep it with their respective books.  Helps a lot for any insurance purposes, too.  Learned that one the hard way with my Mom's diamond rings.  The only pix she had were the xeroxed ones on the appraisal documents.  I have high res digital pix of all of them now.
Just my three cents.....keep the change.

Discover Your Self Worth. Have you discovered your self worth? The answer to this question for most of us will likely be no. If you go through life measuring the self worth of others by their worldly attachments it is likely that you measure your own self worth by the same criteria. Think about this for a moment. When you see a homeless person do you judge them by the state that they are presently in? Does it ever cross your mind that deep inside that person is something so amazing that it can literally change the life of thousands? You see in life you are always trying to get something, be it a better job, money, a bigger house or other material pleasures. You begin to measure your own self worth by the value of your stuff. I want you to understand that there is nothing wrong with having nice things. You just have to make sure that you do not allow your possessions to define who you are. If your self worth is defined by your accomplishments and possessions you will live an unsatisfying life.
