And on a related note, a couple of these around the perimeter of the demesne would cut down on the poachers, methinks.  And look kewl.

Lastly - these might interest CDR Salamander, as well as me.  If it weren't for that pesky demil requirement, anyway.  However, they would make a helluva flagpole...

Based on what I've heard about the life of the average Private in the ROK Army, I figured the mill-around at 1+39 in the countdown was the prelude to a live demonstration of tracking running targets...

The whatzis photo won't show, but I was about to tell you that if I lived out at your desmesne, I would have some free-ranging dogs that DIDN'T belong to a Guard Dog Union. You wouldn't need any better system, and a pallet of kibble once a quarter feeds a lot of them. Treats all around for kills until they get the idea...

Rivrdog - we've got enough feral/semi-feral dogs around here as it is.  Not too mention the coyotes.

The "whatzis" isn't a photo - it's a video of the only running PT boat (at least  that's in WWII configuration).

Ah, I mind the plans I had for the Bitter-Sweety's place. Her back yard abuts  a small pond, with the problem of the neighbor kids fishing without permission in their boats and  encroaching on her Territorial Limits. 

I had plans, I tell you.  I sketched out a water battery of spud guns on Buffington-Crozier disappearing carriages (rifled, of course)  and higher up, on the back patio, the grapefruit mortars.  Sigh, it all came to naught, and all she can do now is yell at them, mention her S&W revolver, and threaten to call the deppities on them.
