Entropy

We've all been affected by entropic suckitude at one time or another. Just because a family member wears a fur coat all the time doesn't lessen his (or her) status as family.

And it often hurts just as much if the loss isn't in your immediate family.

DL Sly's extended family is smaller today, although she considered Dusty-not-the-Instapilot as immediate family...

Dusty (1996- 2011) Old fart! He was my sister's dog. I was there when she got him as a pup, and whenever I was at her house he was my "dog away from home"....he slept in my room, laid by my feet, and followed me everywhere.

Visits to my sister's house will be so much *less than* now.

Everything is a little bit "less than" when one of them trots down the path to Piddler's Green. Dusty looks like he'll be able to find the Watching Spot without even being shown...

As I told my sis when she called yesterday, he has many brothers and sisters waiting to show him the best spots for chasing slow squirrels and lazily tossed tennis balls.  Quite a few, we realized, by the time I finished running down the list.  Funny how the loss of the most recent one always seems to scratch open the sore still left from those who have gone before.
*sigh*
Thx, Mr. DeBille.

Awwww, he looks like a very special dog.  *hugs to all who loved him*

Your description of his place in your heart ... so sorry for your loss.

My Condolences. Lost mine in 2001. I'm in a rental house and plan to "Puppy Up" as Sir John as urged when I recover sufficiently financially from the legal wrangle over my grandkids with Georgia to get a house of my own again.

I am so sorry, Sly.  He looks like the best kind of dog; constant companion and best friend.

Sorry to hear the news.

It's been awhile for me, and I dread the day.  On the positive side, I know there will be another furry partner waiting to live when I pick 'em up.

My condolences.  Been there, done that, two times too many in recent months.  I also remember back to my college days when my best friend called to tell me her Lando had died.  I loved that dog, too - big, long-haired Shepherd.  She had me crying in my dorm with all my roommates wondering what was the matter...sometimes it's a little worse when you're far away.

Sorry to hear about Dusty (not-the-Instapilot)... ((((hugs)))) to everyone who love him... he was wonderful... ((((hugs))))
