Firing Blanks

Good thing that André ze Pole's fellow soldiers were saluting only with blanks.  Otherwise, someone in the peanut gallery would be KIA.

Bet that's the last time he pisses off the guy standing behind him...

Love the Poles, their history, tradition and valor.  That being said, whomever designed that manual of arms drill should be taken out and... 'shot'.

That was... bemusing.  Troop sure kept his composure.  I think I want the video of what happened after the command "Dismissed!" was given...

About the comments, just what I like, real  “subtle”. Would one of you “fine gentlemen”, help a dumb old vet? With all of the change going on, have they rewritten the “Laws of Physics”? Since we are talking about a sub orbital velocity,  “The Laws of Gravity”, still apply, don't they? If you look at these shooters, in a very disciplined manner, they appear to be shooting straight up. This is on the same level as the well-known, “Circular Firing Squad”. They appear to be playing “Russian Roulette with a fully automatic weapon. What can I tell you, I'm just a dumb Vet?

Blanks, Grumpy, blanks.  Just like any funeral detail.  Note they're firing AKs, which are semi-auto weapons, yet they have to reload after every shot.  That's because they're firing blanks with no blank adaptors to provide sufficient backpressure to cycle the action.

But they send a lot of gas forward, which is why the troop lost his cover.

Grumpy, They are firing blanks.  That's why they had to charge their weapons for every round.

Yeah, I knew what was going on. I just wanted to have a little fun.

Having a problem with “Selective Stupidity” can be a little fun. But if I look at John's answer, it sort of sounds like a misguided  “Phart”.

Mark Matis, I doubt that discussion was ever held, because there are many other worse places for that “Puff”.  I'll let your imagination fill in some of the blanks.  ; – )

John, I thought I'd better say something. Seriously, THANK YOU!

BTW, “Gentlemen?”

But they send a lot of gas forward, which is why the troop lost his cover.

They also send little pieces of the seal directly forward into whatever -- or whoever -- is within six feet.

They *sting* and make the recipient a bit irate...

 Greetings:

I heard a story one time that a blank M-16 round could be muzzle-loaded into an M-60 machine gun from which a blank round would propel the M-16 round down range.  And whomsoever was struck almost probably needed to be so struck.  Probably just a story, huh?
