We few, we happy few, we band of brothers...

The heart, if not the spirit, of Easy Company is finally stilled.

Major Richard Winters passed away last week.

Now is the time at Castle Argghhh! when we dance: In Memoriam of the heart of Easy Company, Major Dick Winters.

Keep your knees together, Dick, and don't miss any of those points of contact...

From everything I've read, he was a truly humble man (in the best sense of the word).  I wish we all could take a lesson from the way he lived his life.

Another hero quietly passes on to his reward.  A most remarkable man and a real example of a natural leader.   He is one who deserved burial honors.

A truely inspiring soldier.  He is an example of leadership that all of us should imitate.

Shai Dorsai!

heavy sigh.
What else can I say?

It is WRONG to morn the loss of such men. Rather, thank GOD that such men LIVED!

...We few, we band of brothers ... one of the very, very best of us. Rest in honored peace, sir.

Sigh - Enthropy await for us all, even the heroes amongst us.

Curahee, Major Winters.

There will never be another you, and those who knew you and served with you can attest to your leadership and courage.  The rest of us will have to be satisfied with books and recreations to know what a great man you are and always will be.  As long as there are memories and stories of you, you will live on in the heart of every Infantry and Airborne trooper and officer.

You set the bar very high.  May God grant you the peace and serenity that a soldier deserves when PCSing to the final duty station.

With the utmost of sincerity and respect,
