Colombia's Armored Armani

It is good to know that an old contact of mine is doing fine and well in his "Bidnez".  Though most of what I hocked was on the "shooting" side of the industry, the gentleman featured in the video below had good products to offer in the "receiving" side.

A bit of background info: Colombia has always had a top-notch textile and fashion industry.  They are at par with anything that Italy, or France can dish-out in the Prêt-à-Porter side of the industry.  I know, for in a prior professional incarnation, I was in the Cotton industry.  Put in the mix a very violent environment that was Colombia in the 1980's and 90's, and you get a talented entrepreneur who combined high fashion with ballistic protection.  After all, kevlar can be worked by tailors just like any other type of regular textile.

I personally was more interested in his Level-IIIA and IV Tactical Vests, but found a kick to see his more effete products in display, at his humble tailor shop.  It's nice to see in the video that not much has changed since I last saw him in August of '03.

Anyways, Miguel's website is: HERE
