Playing Dress-up With A Ruger

Wanna see where she hides her Ruger Light Compact Revolver?  Though it is Work Safe, she does get *er* frisky in the creative hidey-holes that she has found.  The Fashion Show starts around (03:50).

Boq, this is perfect!  Thanks for the vid. Good information.  I hafta tellya, the Engineer and the Young Man were passing by to disconnect the dishwasher, and they got distracted.  Too funny.
Lowe's is here with our new one, and it isn't disconnected yet, thanks to that video.  But, all's fair.
I think they both lost it when she went for it in her shorts.  That was priceless!  I think in that case, one of the other holsters would have been a better choice.  Overall though, it was worth the watch.

Okay, after that glowing review from Lady Cricket, I *will* wait the hour and a half it'll take the vid to load...

BOQ, thanks for the video! I'll try some of what she presented...

BOQ...I can hide a Ruger in my shorts...there's plenty of room down there.

isn't something like a daytonics 9 mm smaller and easier to carry? smart move though, all women should carry a gun.

Excellent video.

Post Script:  The Engineer and I decided to keep our dishwasher; it works perfectly.   I also got a gander at the holsters...I think I might try making one to fit me.  A couple of the 'gun shops' in town have personnel that carry.  Occasionally, especially the ladies, will make suggestions as to how to carry, but this video was pretty good.

"This is a private video. If you have been sent this video, please make sure you accept the sender's friend request."

Um, no. All this "jump through hoops to watch my especially interesting video" stuff leaves me cold. Feh.

Heh - I just hope that the clip didn't make the Lowe's techs screw-up the instal, Cricket.  At least I made their day :-()

No, we turned them away.  Disappointed, but, there you have it.  Besides, in this red neck of the woods of Jawjuh, it is Glock country.  Unless you go to the Bunker, the best good ol' boy gun shop in town.  They sell Rugers, Taurus, etc.  Ooh...I found out that Hill Air Force Base is selling guns again at their BX.  The Engineer and I went there this spring to get some ammunition. The gentleman there told me that about a year ago, the DoD authorized five bases to sell guns and ammo again.

Heh.

I wonder if they meant AF Bases.  Fort Benning has been selling guns in the PX for several years, as has Fort Knox.  A little over a year ago, Fort Leavenworth started selling 'em, too.  The guys behind the counter don't really know their subject very well, and the MP-driven paperwork to buy a weapon that I'm going to immediately drive off-post is annoying, as I found when I bought the Mossberg.

Can't get the vid to load.  I got the same "this is private" message.  Since I absolutely will never Facebook, I guess, should the need ever arise, I will have to think of my own hiding places.
Oh well.....

Well, we decided not to purchase for that very reason.  It is bad enough to have ONE set of papers on a gun, but two and in triplicate at that?  Ick.  I am not sure about the AFB side of it, as he just said 'Five bases.'  We will be going down to Warner-Robins, unless you know someone there, and we can check it out for you.

The Young Man has a decent legacy from his grandfther.

When she demonstrated draw from that shoulder holster, I thought I heard the distinctive sound of hook-and-loop opening. That is a DEAD giveaway. My Galco shoulder rig for a small auto has the gun parallel to the floor, and a thumb-break snap which can be eased off quietly. Only those with long barrels need carry a revolver or larger auto vertically in a shoulder rig. That rig of hers seems to have been made for a 3", not a snubby.

Of course, most of her limitations stem from her desire to wear very form-fitting clothing. Selecting some more relaxed styles would give a lot more options for concealed carry.

...should the need ever arise, I will have to think of my own hiding places.

Why hide? They'll be so nervous after eyeing your kukri, you could have two Ruger Hunters in cross-draw holsters and they wouldn't notice...

True.  But it can't get a girl sooo messy and yanno, sometimes I just don't feel like dealing with the bloodstains.
