Caption Contest - In a Pickelhauben Edition

The real caption reads:

But I wonder why are all in a pickle?

Because a) they are military *band* members, b) regs state you keep your instrument with you at all times and c) the tuba player is stuck in the only working port-a-potty

"But I wonder why are all in a pickle?"

I don't know, Boq.  Seems to me that they are all of the *stand-up* gender and are wearing the modern variety pith helmet.......

The result of using the lowest bidder to provide 'Solo' sound booths?

Are 'Duet' and handicap booths are also available?

Ah, I see BCR noticed the shoulder things which go up, too. I wondered about the crossbelts until I saw the one which is obviously a strap for a snare drum.

Oh, the caption:  Miguel, if we had shakos instead of these things we could at least look taller!

Okay, what's  the key for these things?

Answer to statement in previous caption:

Juan, right back at Miguel, " Oh, go sit on a pickel!"

In *a* Pickelhauben?

How singularly plural of you!

"I *told* you it was a mistake to let the drum majorettes go first!"

Pith helmet.  Took me a minnit.  I'm getting slow.

Hey Tomás, could you blow your horn while I unload my bean burrito?  It´s gonna get noisy in there.

This doesn't look like the Ardennes.

c) the tuba player is stuck in the only working port-a-potty

Technically, there's nothing to "work". But I imagine this isn't one of the stories they'll tell about Band Camp...

I believe our host has an hilarious port-a-potty story about band camp, AKA Fort Irwin.

Bill, go diagram that sentence.  "a Pickelhauben Edition" is obviously the object of that preposition, though it consists of three words.

Greetings:

The other port-o-potties are "handicapped" designated.

What are pointed helmets for? When the port-a-pottie door is stuck, take your pointed helmet and RAM the door to death!!!

If that's where the quotes were, I'd agree. However, knowing Boq's penchant for continuity, the quotes would have been "In a Pickelhauben" Edition.

Of course, claiming to know Boq's penchant for *anything* (with the exception of colorful, friendly birds) is a pretty far stretch...
