Camo War Birds

There was a time in which THIS was cutting edge technology in tactical communications.  However they had their disadvantages.  Their bright plumage made them easy targets to the sharp eyes of enemy.

The solution: Camouflage the birds. As in breed them in in mottled disruptive patterns.  Page 81 of the January 1941 edition of Popular Mechanics, has an interesting article on the solution of this age-old problem.

ha War Birds.  I've heard them called Flying Rats.  I guess that covers the whole spectrum.  As long as they aren't Flying C-rats.
