Time Waster Of The Day - Coda

Yesterday, I posted a silly CLIP on  a spoof of an "Operator".  He apparently is/was with the USMC  who calls himself The RTT-QCB Man, and likes to talk that way.  I don't know whether he does this as a spoof, or as an expression of an inflated ego.  You decide.

Oh, and here's his other video:

I'm pretty sure it's a spoof. The voice, the mannerisms, the overuse of military phrases... all too goofy to be real, I think.

Then again, this *is* a Marine we're talking about...

Marines only talk like that until they make E-5 -- then they get issued a second digit for their IQ...

I promise you: While the performer has included the lexicon of the high-speed, low-drag "operator" in his monologue, the Marines depicted are having a laugh observing the rest of you trying to decide if they are serious of not...  Every infantry unit worth its salt has a comedian who can whip out some version of "Sergeant Slaughter" during downtimes, to give the lads a laugh...

BillT:  Actually, they START talking like that once that third stripe goes on...  Before then, they simply answer in single syllable words, as their minds are fully immersed in dreams of wading hip deep through the fields of dead bad guys...

The question is:  Beyond the ridiculous lexicon...  Is the good sergeant wrong?

The second question is:  If he is, who has the stones to inform him..?
