Slander From Uranus

The Euro-Left press, just keeps piling it on.  RT.com, a Russian T.V. network with wide viewership all throughout Europe, has published a hit piece on our armed forces.

It seems that they have "discovered" that the U.S. Army is crawling with Neo-Nazi's and West Coast Gang-Bangers.  Buried in his piece, by his own admission, out of 1.6 Million U.S. service personnel that have cycled through Afghanistan and Iraq during these past eight years, 203 (two-hundred and three) veteran soldiers are "supposedly" Neo Nazis.

The HORROR!

The following video is chock-full of full blown lies, innuendos and distortions, for me grace the author with a response.   I am however very concerned that as this leftists "news" organizations have taken root all throughout Europe and here in North America, the filth that comes out of his mouth is taken as gospel by many in the Western World.

... But if I may take out a swipe: RT is service published by the Autonomous Non-Profit Organisation (ANO).  In Spanish the word "ANO" refers to that nether region of your body.  You know the part that our President Obama wants to kick.  If I may say so Mr. Kennard the filth that drops out of your brain and into the pages that you publish should only be seen coming out of Uranus.

From his bio: Matthew Kennard is an award winning journalist who has previously written for the Leeds Student, Daily Bruin, Bulb magazine, New Statesman and The Guardian [note: aka The Gaurniad, because they always get the story backwards].

So, what awards has the award-winning journalist won?

One.

2006 National Student Journalism Awards (UK)
Best Student Reporter:
Winner: Matt Sandy, The Warwick Boar
Runner up: Matthew Kennard, Leeds Student

Four years ago, he got an award for second place for his writings in a *college* newspaper.

Not exactly the type of "award" one normally associates with the phrase "award-winning journalist." Using *that* metric, *I'm* an award-winning journalist, too, and I took *first* place.

US, 1967, Best In Category, News Editor, colleges with fewer than 10,000 enrollment. Yay, moi..

I didnt choose to have myself referred to as an award winning journalist, but actually I did win the Guardian Student Feature Writer of the Year Award in 06..... so there we are.... and the Guardian is nicknamed the Gruniad because of its penchant for typos, Gaurniad is not Guardian backwards btw

Boq has the occasional issue with typos, too.   Perhaps we should call him, Bosuiquoic.

Well, that's not really pronounceable, is it?

Um, Matt - would you care to address any of the substance of the post?

The Onion also has a "wide viewership all throughout Europe".

it's NOVOSTI (web page, left corner, small print), what did you expect? only Fox News has more crap per square inch.

Greetings:

I give RT a looksee on the TV every now and then.  I think of it as "from Putin's brain to the TV screen".   They're pretty good at finding lowlife shills to propagate their take on the world's events.  Every now and then, though, they do earn my viewership most recently with their reports on the Uzbek - Kyrgyz troubles.  It's hard to resist the pictures of Muslims turning on each other.

Once, RT had some "famous rapper" from DC as an expert on the War in Iraq, I kid you not. I almost fell off my sofa when I saw it.   Its Washington bureau trolls exclusively the nether regions of the nation's capital for the crap like this.
RT is the Russian government television aimed at the viewers outside Russia...

Boq, I thought you just might be wise and cover Uranus, but not too closely. This would raise another whole host of previously discussed issues. Your title, "Slander from Uranus", is this a quality assessment or analysis of the output? *YUCK*, you can have it. How do you cover Uranus? You cover it with 'Old School Discipline.'

... and the Guardian is nicknamed the Gruniad because of its penchant for typos

Odd. The RAF LNO here said it was because they usually got things exactly backwards -- such as consistently referring to the UEA/CRU e-mail file as "stolen" long after it was revealed they had originally been downloaded from Phil Jones' own *open* web site.

Gaurniad is not Guardian backwards btw

I realize that, btw. So did the RAF LNO who pronounced it that way "because it's funnier than Naidraug."

Um, Matt - would you care to address any of the substance of the post?

Apparently not. You might keep an eye peeled for an article detailing how he schooled us, though...

I dunno Grumpy, mebbe Saturn is in charge of the covering department.
