A Very Castle Argghhh! Morning...

...in the late spring.

First, Patrol Leader Gunner takes a last look around before heading off to conduct the post-sunrise perimeter patrol.

Assistant Patrol Leader Buffy the Coyote Slayer waits for the order to "saddle up and move out."  Kiki is on a limited duty profile due to hip problems.

There are goats in the mist...

Willy and Pete wait patiently for brekkies...

The new recruits do some combatives training...

...and a whole lot of PT.  Lots of PT.  No, really, a lot of PT.  I get tired just watching 'em.

As the puppies do PT and the patrol does their last pre-combat checks, there are still two sentinels on watch.  One silent, one not-very-silent at all.

So, as the Silent Sentinel (christened the "Auld Soldier" in honor of the same) stands watch by the flags, and Reggie, the Not-Very-Silent Sentinel stands watch from the ramparts...

The Post-Sunrise Perimeter Patrol sets out...

...headed for their first stop, the not-a-cement pond.

Just the dawn of another day at Castle Argghhh!

You can keep yer cities.

A lovely post. Please don't forget the drooling masses out here waiting for the Whatzis to come to a conclusion.

The Post-Sunrise Perimeter Patrol look like they are locked on target. Both have their ears laid back and look like they are stalking.

I LOVE, LOVE your place!!!

Well, come visit then!

Dude, there is a guy near me that has a place overlooking a creek here in CO.  He has a FULL ON howizter (like from a Navy ship) that points out over the hillside.  You can see it from over a mile away.  I"m gonna send you a pic soon as I get over by it.  Dunno how he got it (closed VFW/Legion post?) but I'd never wanna try to take HIS place :)

Mebbe you could buy it from him... ??

Just AWESOME place. John......

Wolf

The tube of this gun is actually made from the tube of a Navy 3"/50cal gun...

Greetings:

Pardon my interruption, but are "redlegs" even allowed to say "saddle up"?

We're a mounted branch...

Indeed, an awesome homestead.

 Greetings:

"Mounted"???  Is that an "on what" or a "by whom"???

You, sirrah, are known as the "Queen of Battle..."

I'm may be a bit slow, but that's the first time I caught the names of your horses. You actually named them Willy and Pete. On purpose!?

That is so wrong... But funny. ;)

Green Acres is the place to be
Farm livin' is the life for me
Land spreadin' out so far and wide
Keep Manhattan, just give me that countryside

New York is where I'd rather stay
I get allergic smelling hay
I just adore a penthouse view
Darling I love you but give me Park Avenue

The chores, the stores
Fresh air, Times Square

You are my wife
Good bye city life
Green Acres we are there

Willy's full name is Sweet William, named after SWWBO's father.

Petey's full name is Jet's Marked Fool (he was born on April Fool, and comes from the Jetalito line of paints).  Petey is his working name, given to him by his previous serving staff.

And yes, I did make the connection, back in the day.

The only thing missing is some aerial cover...It might be a bit of a trip, but we've got you covered from the southern coastal commonwealth...

And yes, they can keep their cities...
