Every once in awhile, something good slips through...

Given the current attitude in Washington, I'm surprised this was approved...

We had a bound collection of Mauldin's cartoons in our house when I was growing up. I read it several times, always getting a kick out of the man's humor. Even then, I could appreciate his talent for seeing through pretense and his affection for the men who guaranteed us the freedoms we (at least for now) enjoy today. Well done, USPS.

Having just finished "With the Old Breed", with it's discussion of the effects of constant rain in combat areas, the cartoon about dry socks comes across insightful in a way most civilians probably won't realize.

Well done, Post Office!

As for DC, I doubt most of 'em know who Mauldin is.

Looks like I have to break out my copy of Up Front.
