Isn't it amazing how pictures can relay a message that words cannot?

Hey, I'm taking my lead from the Prez.

I'm reminded of a line from Rob Roy:
"Honour is the gift a man gives himself.  And no man can take away."

I did what you tolded me, Sir, because I trust you.  Does that guy have only one complete limb left?

The boots are teh funneh. Joke 'em if they can't take a f*&k.

made me teary-eyed.
I wonder why the judges only have 2s and 3s out??

Baroness, I think it's because they don't appreciate the military mind, with its peculiar idiosyncratic  emotions and weird sense of humor.

You keep doing this John, blerry eyed now and with a deep appreciation and respect for that gentleman whom I'll never meet.

When I clicked on the link earlier, the caption came up first. so I knew 'kilt.'  However, when the pic was loaded, (because of the subliminal prep courtesy the caption), I didn't really pay attention to what 'wounded' actually meant, until I looked again.

Huzzahs to him.  The boots were a nice touch.

JTG, I have a sneaking suspicion he's saluting, which would explain the visual absence of his right hand.

Baroness, (I'm sorry, but I can't help but referring to the recent Iron Man 2 trailer which features a red-headed Scarlett Johansson as the Black Widow whenever I see Baroness lately), I expect the judges are waving 2's & 3's because they don't know a true man when they see one.

As I said over there:
Frankly, a man who can walk onstage like that for a fashion show has huge cojones the size of Volkswagens. God bless him.
God bless every one of them.

Actually, he's just standing there looking a little goofy.  Boq found the full picture along with some others.

Looks to me like he's strutting, having fun with a good sense of humor, despite the loss of limbs.

An even greater testament to his strength of will and spirt!

I did what I was told, sir... as always (hehehe).  And you're right about the rest of the world not understanding our sense of humor; I was even briefed on that subject at the TAP when I was retiring...

Old, my favorite evil joke in that vein:

There is a large kaboom.

Private: OwowowOw! Sarge, I've lost my leg!

Sergeant: No you haven't, son, it's behind that bush over there.  (while providing first aid)

Shai Dorsai!!!!!

Oh, look, a Gordy Dickson fan! :)

Me, I think John looks like a really big Hoka...

Casey, yer right! Beth, do you check to make sure his nose is cold and damp?
