1st Bn, 30th FA, Augsburg, Germany, 1976.  En route to a local training area South of Augsburg, the steering locked up on a tracked vehicle, and it rolled right over a VW bug.
 
FRG mid 70's winter.  Coming up to a T intersection in town with the locals waving and watching out their windows, new driver doesn't quite make the turn.  The M-60 breaks traction and continues straight.  Stops with the main gun going through an open window.  No damage, but one excited housfrau.

Those folks in the video musta had need to get somewhere fast, hmm, wonder what it coulda been given why they're there?
 
Totally Off-Topic, but YAY I HAZ GADSDEN FLAG!  Got flagstaff bracket on porch pillar; must find suitable stick. Thank you thank you thank you John and Beth! Made of seemingly-durable synthetic, too!

And how much did this cost us?  I remember when an M65 Atomic Cannon got stuck in a farmers field late in the Fall and we had to pay the farmer for the inconvience for 6 months as well as have an amed guard 7/24 with the vehical at all times.  PPPP...

Spiff!  You served on the M65?  Kewl!  What unit, when?  My Dad commanded a battery of those for a while in Germany.
