Yo, Bill - in your post below, you allude you are living in a situation that must cost Carborundum a lot of sleep and make him very twitchy. I ask, because Heartless Libertarian sent along this article, and asks the question - Did Bill send Carborundum, et al, on TDY? Or did they simply train this guy's guardian angels? (N.B. - Carborundum is Bill'slong suffering Guardian Angel)

Don't feel sorry for him, Olga -- you ought to see the jams I have to pull him out of when he whines "But there's nothing going ooooooooon..." and decides to liven things up.

Fortunately, the MPs all know him by now and just drag him over and drop him off at my hootch -- but the accompanying paperwork is unbelievable...

This is one of the reasons I hope that I don't die in my sleep, or suddenly when awake. God willing, I'd like a half-hour or so for revision of will with codicil so as to disinherit ungrateful dog-effers among my acquaintances. (and former siblings) After that, if I have any time left, I want an Anglican clergyman.

What I'm curious about is, exactly what was his copilot doing while Ian was bleeding all over his flight suit? I know what *mine* did -- he asked, "Can I have your watch and your wallet?"

To his eternal credit, he only said that *after* we got on the ground...

Carbo requested ~~an extended training mission~~ some R'n'R right after the mortar went *boom* about fifty meters from us while we were in Balad a couple weeks ago. I figured he was up to something.

He already knew about that "keep the pilot flying after he gets hit between the eyes" thang.
