A soldier cries during the funeral of Jon Felipe Romero Meneses on February 03, 2010 in Barcelona. Meneses, a Colombian member of the Spanish contingent, was killed in a mine explosion while six other soldiers were injured, after the armoured vehicle they were traveling in struck a powerful mine north of Qala-I-Naw in Badghis province in Afghanistan on February 01, 2010.
Honor, pride, loss of a comrade in arms, all difficult emotions to keep under control at such a ceremony.

Though, judging by the 'look' he is receiving, I suspect he will stifle it.

I often wondered why the 'look' is not taught at NCO schools, but, I suspect it has to do with experience and generations of previous NCOs who passed it down by example.
