Honor, pride, loss of a comrade in arms, all difficult emotions to keep under control at such a ceremony.

Though, judging by the 'look' he is receiving, I suspect he will stifle it.

I often wondered why the 'look' is not taught at NCO schools, but, I suspect it has to do with experience and generations of previous NCOs who passed it down by example.
 
My ex wife had "the look".
 
Oh, c'mon, Kevin! I think it's not unmanly to weep a bit in that kind of situation, as long as you don't make a spectacle of yourself in ranks.
