Not being too well versed in schmart legal stuff; is it possible to "un-Mirandise" someone. And did we do it in his native language, Nigerian? If we didn't do it in his native language, is it still effective legally? Just because he spoke English doesn't mean he understood what was said. I love this stuff. Defense lawyers sit up all night working on stuff like this while the prosecutors are in a bar working on their careers. You become the Attorney General because you are a good politician not a good lawyer.

I still think calling them "stupid" or "naive" is too charitable. I find it difficult to believe that Harvard and Ivy League-educated people are that stupid or clueless.

The only way this makes sense is if you start with the premise that they want the OTHER side to win.

So yes, I question their patriotism and their loyalty.
