The holidays are challenge enough...

...without someone having to check out early.

The demi-denizens don't blog much, themselves.  They're above all that.  They just keep us company as we read and type.  This time Rivrdog has lost his editor, Bella.

There is a new bar-cat at Fiddler's Green.

Detail!  Fall in!

Now is the time at Castle Argghhh! when we dance sing a soul to the Great Hunting Ground and Tennis Ball Chasing Facility at Piddler's Green.

A gathering of Eagles from Nom de plume: Rivrdog on January 2, 2010 11:17 PM

Bella, Sept 07 The Rivrdog family grieves today, and maybe longer. Our sweet feline companion, Bella, has gone on to her greater reward. She joins Snowflake, our previous feline, in cat Heaven, where coats are always shiny, disease is unknown, and the ... Read More

I'm sorry to hear this... My condolences.

Rivrdog, I'm so terribly sorry.  The furry folk always bring so much to our lives.

Sad to hear you've lost a furry family member, Rivrdog.  I'm sure the furry Denizens of Piddler's Green will make Bella welcome.

We are so sorry to read of your loss.  Doubly tragic that you had to have a hand in making it come to pass.

In September 1991, in Truth or Consequences, NM, the wife, her Mother and Sister were taking their evening stroll when a cat cried out for help.  The wife, screenname Cateyes, rescued the critter and brought her home.  From the cat's size, Cateyes estimated her to be about three months old.  She later downgraded that estimate to about 6 weeks.  Her front half was a pretty little redpoint Siamese, but the back half was Maine Coon..._huge_!!!  She made her way to Fiddler's Green in February 2006.

When I showed Cateyes the picture above, she said that it was our Reddle!  Your Bella had a twin!  If I can find a pic and scan it,  you'll see the resemblance, if the Armorer will permit me.

Sigh.  It just doesn't get easier.  They are family.  I am so sorry for your loss, but glad you had such a handsome cat for company.

Don't worry, Rivrdog.... there's lots of catnip growing in the grass in Fiddler's Green.  *sigh*  I am so sorry.

You are all so sweet, and yes, even RGMs (retired grumpy Majors) need some sweetness from time to time.

Thank you again, and a better New Year for all of us!

No matter how many times, it still hurts like h#($ when one of our furry family leaves us.  I'm guessing a lot of us will be trampled when we get to Rainbow Bridge/Fiddler's Green/Critter Valhalla and meet up with them for good.
