&nbsp;&nbsp; I always spelled it as potatoes, and tomatoes, and egoes, etc..... It's likely because my mother was from Oz and I learned her version of &quot;English&quot;.&nbsp; Heck, I'm often found spelling words with an &quot;U&quot; as in armour, colour, honour, etc.<br />
