The Whatziss, answered.

Okay, it was a trick - which many of you farm boys didn't fall for.

This was for RetRsvMike - it's a crap spreader. Not Belgian, admittedly, but since "crap spreader" is his stock answer for these, I thought I would give him one.

Snerk.

Blake got it right out of the chute!

Ahh, yes.  Familiar design, but obviously older than the ones I have gotten used to seeing.

Those newer ones that spray the stuff out as a liquid are something. The odor is spread a little further too.

At home we actually have 2 trucks with a spreader mechanism on the back with the rolling conveyor in the bottom of the dump

Reminds me of my favorite Harry Truman joke.

Harry is giving a speech and Bess is sitting in the audience with a friend of hers. Harry says that politics is like farming, successful politicians, like successful farmers, spread around a lot of manure. Bess' friend looks at her and says "Bess dear, don't you think you should talk to Harry about his language? Perhaps you could get him to say 'Fertilizer' instead?" Bess leaned over and whispered. "Dear, it took me forty years to get him to say manure!"

I think the proper name for this piece of farm equiptment is the Harry Reid spreader...
Spiff

Uh, was your last sentence a terrible pun, or just Freudian?
