As an aside, for five years, I commuted twice a day past the front of the Silver Spring Muslim Community Center. It sits right on upper New Hampshire Avenue; the same New Hampshire Avenue that begins at The Kennedy Center and Watergate in the heart of Washington DC, and peters-out in upper Montgomery County, MD. Until a Tuesday morning, eight Septembers past, I used to hold it in one esteem. Ever since, I hold it in a different shadow.
