Teacher Unions - Subverting Our Children

I always thought that Teachers Unions were left leaning partisan organizations.  But never thought that they would actively work to destroy the foundations upon which our republic is founded on, by actively seeking to subvert the minds of our children.

HERE is the National Education Association pushing Saul Alinski's master oeouvre Rules for Radicals to its rank and file.  For it is (and I quote):
inspiration to anyone contemplating action in their community!

It even provides for a helpful hotlink to Amazon, so that Children Indoctrinators Teachers, can quickly get their copy.  For as to paraphrase Mr. Alinski: "Teachers of The United States, Agitate, Aggravate, Educate, and Organize our children towards a Socialist Future".

Read the excellent and out-of-print book 'The NEA; Trojan Horse in American Education,' by Sam Blumenfeld.  This is the end of my 16th year of homeschooling.  The Young Man 'graduates' this spring.   The Engineer was navigating the AAFES websit and ran across DoD support for homeschooling.  He just about fell out of his chair with schockandawe!

We, as a society, have let the Left take over education.  A contributing factor in my decision to get my teaching degree and certification was that I refuse to cede that ground.  Even though I'm certified for elementary education, once I have a classroom of my own, I hope to teach my students to think for themselves, and to learn reading 'riting and 'rithmetic, as well as a good dose of appreciation for this great country.  All this said, if I am ever lucky enough to find Mr. RIght and have a child of my own, I may very well homeschool...

It all started with Johnson's Great Society.  My parents were both educators and absolutely detested the NEA, which was a huge reason in her deciding to quit teaching school.  When we were in LA, our teachers went on strike for three weeks.  They claimed they 'cared' about us, but they needed to be able to get more money...understandable...but they wanted tenure as well.  A tentured teacher in high school and college can do more damage with regard to a socialist agenda.  They can't be fired, no matter what they teach; just moved.
