Today's Medal of Honor Moment for 23 September

A very unusual day for the Medal.  On my first swing through the database, I came across zero Medals for this day in history. That circumstance being such an unlikely anomaly, I went back through - and I'm glad I did.

This is an unusual day for the Medal in that, while there are three Medals, they are for one fight, at Red Creek, Az, in 1869.  And it's a rare day because none of these Medals were posthumous.
