Frequent visitors will probably recognize the posting-handle Saker, recently elevated from the status of "Lurker-In-The-Drapes" to "Demi-Denizenne and Designated Gopher for the SugarButtons Brigade."

I now move that she be elevated to full Denizenne, with all rights and privileges pertaining thereunto*.

Tomorrow, Saker ~~gets dragged kicking and screaming like a cheerleader on helium~~ departs for a Well-Known Military Installation down in Cricket's neck of the woods to participate in the Rite Of Passage known as Basic Combat Training.

She's already been briefed about refraining from ~~remarking aloud on the attractiveness of her Drill Sergeant's butt~~ speaking unless spoken to and turning her "Army Combatives" partner into human origami.

Saker, c'mere, troop-larva. "Bout Bill. Later on in the cycle, when they let you loose periodically, drop ~~that slacker~~ yer mentor a note and ping 'im to post more often, wouldja? I've tried cutting his pay, and doubling his pay, and nuthin' seems to work, but he's a sucker for a smart chick, especially one that's a troop-larva. Excites his mothering instincts. He's pretty much immune to seniority.

While still OCONUS, the Forward Deployable Dance Pole may be requisitioned for Saker to practice with. Ever since the nuptials, the Castle's Dance Pole at the Great Hall has collected a thick layer of dust and cobwebs.
