            <description><![CDATA[V-J Day.&nbsp;&nbsp;Princess Crabby&nbsp;gets an early start...

Okay, not Princess Crabby.&nbsp; Alfred Eisenstadt's iconic photo that captures the essence of the end of the Greatest Generation's Great Trial.

Since just yesterday we marked the passing of a member of that generation who fought in that war, Robert Chase, I thought today we should mark the end of that war, as the generation who fought it is passing on as entropy does what entropy does.

But I'll stand astride the waters and try to keep a little flame alive, so that not all of us drink the waters of the river Lethe.
