        <![CDATA[I think it is of a later vintage than the Great War.&nbsp; The earliest aerial bombs had long thin tails like an arrow's crest and fletching.&nbsp; And no spinner for the arming fuse up front.<br />
<br />
So I'm going to go with WW2 vintage or later. &nbsp; Maybe an incendiary like the little magnesium or jellied oil bombs?<br />]]>

        <![CDATA[<p>a 1917 german bomb, or a 1918 british type for one of their large bombers. they both had the &quot;strategic&quot; bombers for it. I can't see an eye to hook it up on the underside of a small fighter bomber, so that narrows it down. but being here it prolly is a experimental mosquito repellant thingy&nbsp; made by the ruskies in 2002.</p>]]>

First look, no research.&nbsp; I'm thinking some kind of depth charge.&nbsp; Toss it over the side, the weight puts the prop down.&nbsp; As it falls, the prop turns, calibrated to X number of feet depth, where it goes off.<br />

If I'm not mistaken, wasn't there some form of setting a certain desired depth on those?]]>
