            <title>11 May, a selection of Medals of Honor awarded on this day.</title>
            <description><![CDATA[From the Civil War through the Indian Campaigns, the Korean Campaign of 1871 and on up to, but not including, the War with Spain in 1898.&nbsp; That war merits it's own post, going up later this morning.I posted&nbsp;a bunch&nbsp;of them because the citations for those awards are not available in an extensive format, unlike citations for the Medal from WWI and forward.People you should know.Just some names of people you should know, and the interesting times in which they lived.&nbsp; This will hopefully become a regular feature.RUTHERFORD, JOHN T.
