When I'm out looking for an icon...

...I find it interesting that I find this one less scary than the one in the post below this.

U.S. Army Sgt. Edward Westfield from Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 4th Infantry Regiment, U.S. Army Europe leads his fire team back to base after a dismounted patrol mission near Forward Operating Base Baylough in the Zabul province of Afghanistan on March 20, 2009. DoD photo by Staff Sgt. Adam Mancini, U.S. Army. (Released)

Oddly enough, I expect our enemies feel the same way.

Is that a Barrett M82 broken down for transport he is carrying on his back?

I wonder if he got the opportunity to try out his M82 on that patrol?  Get in a little practice perhaps?

Yeah - I like that icon, and it doesn't scare me one bit.  While the one in the post below doesn't scare me as much as infuriate me ... because I know your photo-shop is how some people envision Teh One.  *ack*

It looks like it; the carry handle point away from the muzzle and the flash suppressor is shaped right:

I'll take this one over the one from the other post any time :o)

Is the guy on the right with the full-legnth M16 carrying another piece of the .50?

I don't think so, but that doesn't mean I'm right!

The guy on the right is carrying a Plasma Rifle on his back...in the 40-watt range. (and yes, he also has the long-slide .45 and Uzi).
