In the interest of further enriching the language, I would like to take the opportunity afforded by certain of yesterday's events to introduce a couple of New Words into the lingo.
Schadenfroid (shah' - den - frwah), n. the gleeful reaction to the report of a person or group of persons gathered in a public location to protest Global Warming getting six inches of snow dumped on their heads by Mama Gaia.
Schadenfraud (shah' - den - frawd), vt. Al Gore scheduling a showing of his Oscar-winning PowerPoint show anywhere on the planet, knowing full well that every time he does so, he throws that city into a record-breaking cold spell.
Heh.

I don't know that you have the full, complete definition here though. After all, does "gleeful feeling" cover it? What about the warm glow? I don't think "gleeful reaction" conveys the deep satisfaction I feel.
This word is also one of the many reasons I am going to spend a long time in purgatory.
