And a good Martin Luther King Day to you, even if, like most people, you may not actually have it off. Of course, by the time soon-to-be President Obama is done completing the nationalization of the economy started by President Bush, most of us may be semi-official or official employees of the Federal government, and therefore get the holiday...Me, I'm taking the day off, though it's not a formal holiday for my firm. It *is* a formal day for my client, however, and since the guys who manage the thin-client servers aren't working, there's no point in going in to...

And now, as expected, we have liberals calling for Bush's arrest and prosecution.

If it didn't jeopardize national security and foreign policy objectives, as I'm sure it would, I'd love for Bush to say, " Yeah, bring it on MoFos! Let me tell you and show you EVERYTHING ... including what your Democrat leadership did and didn't do!"

When a Democrat answers, "I don't know" or "I don't recall" or "Ooops -- I misspoke," he (or she) gets a pass because, well, gee, we're all frail human beings, right?

When a Republican answers the same way, he's an obfuscating prevaricator and will be lucky to get off with a shred of his humanity intact.

Seriously, why do they even bother to go through the motions anymore?
If Sandy Berger comes back, there's going to be a revolt.

Or at least there needs to be.

Aw hell I hope there would be.

Otherwise he's going to be to the government what Helo is to Battlestar Galactica...the guy who demonstrates that if you are considered even halfway useful, you can get away with ANYTHING. When that happens, it just gets kinda painful to watch...

John, about your thinking of Leona Helmsley for Treasury, DEAD on target!

About the rest of the issues, I think the best thing to do is allow history to come in and examine everything. Then, act accordingly.
