It's still a very interesting time, in that Chinese curse fashion. Leave aside what my investment accounts are doing, and the people I know who wonder if they'll have a job next quarter.
We still don't know if that light at the end of the tunnel is open air or another train.
But we've got you guys, and my fellow bloggers across the 'sphere, and here's hoping you all have a Merry Christmas, and we're gonna hafta work on that Happy New Year! Most importantly, I've got SWWBO, Prodigal Son, Prodigal Son's Significant Other, the not-quite-yet-Prodigal Grandson, the Auld Soldier, and my bemused sister and her family to round out the holidays this year.
So, if you'd like to see the White House Christmas card for this year, just click on the card below. I'm guessing Castle Argghhh! may not be on the list for next year... but that card's to all of us - because if it weren't for you guys, there would be no Castle Argghhh!, a place for tilting at windmills, and there would have been no invitation to the White House to get us on that list.
And of course, President and Mrs. Bush have a special message for my favorite people.
To the Men and Women of the United States Armed Forces
Laura and I send season's greetings to you and your families during the holidays.
America is blessed to have brave citizens willing to step forward to defend our freedoms and keep us safe from our enemies. For many of you, this holiday season will be spent far from home, and our Nation honors your sacrifice. We remain mindful of your courage, ask God to watch over you, and pray for your safe return.
Your family members serve our country as well. During this time of year, they are a special source of hope and strength to you, and they both deserve and have the thanks and support of our whole Nation. Their selfless dedication sets an example of patriotism for all Americans to follow.
May God bless you and keep you safe, and may God bless America.
GEORGE W. BUSH
All of you.

Thank you for this excellent post, and all the great blogging you do here. But most of all, thanks for your friendship--I'm so glad to count you two among my blessings.
Love,
Olga
Merry Christmas and may your New Year bring you joy.
(You'll have one! I know this 'cause, as Phoenix likes to joke, I'm always calling her from tomarrow!)
God bless!

May God Bless us one and all.
My family has a roof over our heads, there's something under the tree for the young'n, the boy is deployed but safe, and the eldest girl home from college. We've got food on the table, and clean clothes and a warm place to sleep. More importantly, we have each other.
All things considered, we're pretty blessed. We've got a lot less than some, more than others, but where it counts, we're fine.
My best wishes for all who visit here, and for the Denizens and especially the Castle Guards who keep their watch and rarely complain about their lot.
Merry Christmas!
That's the key, the one thing to remember. Thank you, John & Beth, and to all who cherish the Castle - may you have a very Merry Christmas wherever you are.
Regards, Arditi
