That's old hat. If I want *real* beer, all I have to do is ask one of the Iraqi pilots to pick me up a six-pack in town.

But I'm subject to the UCMJ and GO #1 sez, "No alcohol." Same deal as when I was in Pakistan -- if I wanted it, I could buy it openly, but I druther not run afoul of GO#1. A couple of beers ain't worth being fired.

BTW, the Iraqis wonder why we're using the *Saudi* interpretation of the injunction in the Qu'ran -- especially since the Saudis whoop it up whenever they're outside of SA....
