And I don't mean a bunch of jocks in skirts, either. Nigel from Milweb thought you guys might be interested in this. There are a *bunch* more pictures over at Milweb, where this article originated.

Ashford, Kent - 25th October 2008

Mike Stallwood of Kent based MV specialists, RR Services Ltd, has brought 16 WW2 Stuart tanks into the country and they are selling well to wealthy collectors looking for somewhere to put their money.

You would think that, 63 years after the end of the conflict, the chances of discovering a large cache of WW2 military vehicles - let alone tanks - in reasonably good condition would be virtually zero. But that is exactly what Mike Stallwood of RR Motor Services has done. Almost single-handedly he has extracted 16 M3 Stuart light tanks from the wilds of Brazil, and brought them to the UK.

                <Nostalgia>

I bet a pretty penny, that somewhere in this story there is IMBEL involved. IMBEL: Brazil's National Military Arsenal. It is HQ'd out of the tiny town of Piquete, State of São Paulo, and is located 200 Km Due North of the City of São Paulo. What a coincidence!

I wonder whether those were the very same Tanks used in the Military Coup of 1964, or whether the Brazilian Cavalry had already fully transition to Bulldogs by then - Just wondering.

Ufff - How do I miss my meetings at The "Little House" in Piquete, or SAMPLING their products at the nearby plants in Itajubá, or romping through Avibras' "playground" at São José dos Campos. Fun Times.
