What I Heard Last Night: Fear and Loathing From the Left

I see we're all busy to do much posting.

I liked last night for several reasons. I really liked Giuliani, Huckabee and Romney. I didn't like all their policies all that much, but, as speakers with some wit and intelligence, you have to give them kudos in a big way.

I have to admit, I really liked Fred's speech the other night, too.

Palin was good, but I think she could do better. I think they actually held her back. I think it's one thing they are going to try hard to manage. They want Palin to be tough and smart, but they don't want to spoil the "hockey mom" approachability. In short, they want her to be Hillary lite, smart and articulate, capable of handling power, but still willing to actually bake cookies and trade recipes. Hillary got branded "angry woman" and everyone remembers the "cook book" fiasco.

I think Piper Palin has a promising career no matter what happens. Answer me honestly now... could that little girl get any cuter?

Waving and smiling on stage? Smoothing down her little brother's hair on-camera?

Priceless.
I hear Biden's new nickname is 'Moose'.

If she held back she was just sandbagging for the debate.

And God help whoever the opposition is when her youngest daughter Piper starts her career. With her mother's political instincts and a lifetime of studying politics from the inside....

                Best lines ever:

This is a man who can give an entire speech about the wars America is fighting, and never use the word "victory" except when he's talking about his own campaign.

But when the cloud of rhetoric has passed ... when the roar of the crowd fades away ... when the stadium lights go out, and those Styrofoam Greek columns are hauled back to some studio lot - what exactly is our opponent's plan?

What does he actually seek to accomplish, after he's done turning back the waters and healing the planet? The answer is to make government bigger ... take more of your money ... give you more orders from Washington ... and to reduce the strength of America in a dangerous world. America needs more energy ... our opponent is against producing it.

i absolutely CAN NOT wait to see what she does to Biden in a debate... (might be almost too gruesome for the faint of heart)
I think she done good. What I find truly ironic is that Palin is *exactly* the woman social 'progressives' and the Left have been telling us for the last 30+ years that all women should be... but that pesky party affiliation of hers seems to trump all.
Wow.
I think she was held back somewhat, but they did let her get in a few combinations against the Obamasiah and his cronies.
I heard a huge gasp and groan from the left. I am quite sure that their knees buckled too.
