"Panic"

This is too much fun.

Hmmmm, hear that?  Smell that?

Panic.

It makes you do stupid things.

However, before we get too celebratory about things...  remember that the Germans recovered well and the battle was hard-fought before the end.

And no - I'm *NOT* equating the Democrats or their ticket with the Nazi government.  But with the German Army in Northwest Europe about this time of year in 1944...  streaming in retreat, panicked at the sound of Allied Jabos overhead, yeah.  But the Dems are going to recover, too, and this will be a fight to the finish.  The Republicans will have a Battle of the Bulge to get through before this is over, mark my words.   Their apparent strength at the moment is hampered by their long lines of communication, too.

True enough, let's hope we recognize Bastogne when we get there. See the Kar98a?

Wow.  I think that the author is right in that the Democrats and Hillary voters would be rock-solid for him.  The problem is every other voter would run from him for the exact reasons everyone says (he'd look indecisive, incompetent and weak).  And then can imagine what Hillary would extract from hjim in return for riding to his rescue??  Not to mention that she'd rather watch him go down in flames so she can run in 2012.   If she accepted, he'd be nothing more than a figurehead.

But then again, if he's desperate enough that he goes totally stupid...

Or it could happen with the Toricelli Gambit--Biden either gets "sick," and drops out, or somebody uncovers mega dirt on him.  That would quash the image that he had erred or was indecisive, but again, I can't see Hillary accepting the offer.

Me either.  I just like the chance to stick up a Bridge Too Far clip.

One of the best movie soundtracks of all time, IMHO.  John Addison.

Hah! Stens 'n' Brens 'n' PIATs... I knew it!

How's this for drift?:  People are talking about Obama and the Logan Act in the same breath.  I really, really don't want to believe it.  As Hot Air says, Taheri isn't an impeccable source.  But his source IS on the record here... Yikes.

John,

I'll be in Bastogne Oct 25 thru 28 with stops in St Vith, Foy, and Malmedy. I'll see what histories the locals have to offer. Nornandy is still Oct 20 to 24.

I think I'll let the MSM do their watchdog job in re Mr. Taheri and his claims.

Be fun to watch, anyway.

Even if Taheri's charges are true, will anything happen to Snobama as a result?  I've never heard of the Logan Act actually being enforced against anyone, certainly not against congressthings.  Would either Justice or his friends in the Senate have the balls to charge him during the campaign?

Wolfie - you'll note I didn't say I'd wait for Congress or the Executive.  I said I'd wait for the MSM.

Which, in the current environment, is like saying - on the 12th of Never.

I have been screaming for John F. Kerry to be brought up on charges under the Logan Act for YEARS.  I will not hold my breath on Obama being any different.  No one's ever been persecuted under it's provisions.  Only one person has ever even been indicted and that was nearly 200 years ago.
