        <![CDATA[The other identifying feature is that the 5-in turrets on the <em>Alabama </em>are located one deck higher than they are on the <em>North Carolina.</em>&nbsp; The four <em>South Dakota</em> class battleships, (of which <em>Alabama</em> is one,) were considered far beatter sea boats than their predecessors of the <em>North Caroliina</em> class.]]>

        <![CDATA[btw.&nbsp; been there, done that.&nbsp; (not the dresses, you knuckleheads!)<br />

(i was about 5 years old, lived on a street that the convoy of convertibles with the lovelies passed by, and i had a cousin serving aboard (the boat, not the convertibles nor the lovelies))<br />
<br />
(now living up north, planted an azalea bush out front, but no convertibles ever drive by......&nbsp; sigh!)<br />
<br />
shoulda made this one a Whatzis.&nbsp; woulda been the first one i ever got correct on the first try!<br />]]>

        <![CDATA[I was going to guess Wilmington, NC, home of the USS North Carolina, but I think the Mobile Bay and the USS&nbsp;Alabama is correct.<br />
