Speaking of microsoft, Bill Gates and Vista (which keeps locking up when I play videos), I remember reading a book that was ostensibly a murder mystery with an existensial run at angels and demons on earth.  Of course, the demons were looking for ways to make man's life harder and needed a cover with income to continue their evil ways.

Guess what business they created?

Computer Software: always locking up, always in need of upgrades and full of protections and copy rights that keep even the simplest programming upgrades from being implemented by the user (all that work in DOS right down the drain); requiring continuous purchases and assistance from...you guessed it...demons.
