The monitor is quite recent, thankyewverrimuch, it's the rest of the system which is kinda moldy and ancient. The box is a pre-Carly HP box, Early Pentium, which spent some time on the side of the road outdoors before I grabbed it. It's kinda like the ex-cop-car in that Blues Brothers movie. Oh, yeah, if and when this system dies, you betcha I'll come to attention and doff hat.

Tight click on the image and click on "save as" with a na,e amd to a file of your cjoice. Open photoshop or PSP(X), etc, and enlarge to see further detail.

Notice the black plastic ( or perhaps hard rubber) grips, the vetical machined slide grips, etc.

Pour a tall glass of ice and bourbon and enjoy modern technology :) I know i do... :)

M1911 family.
Plastic grips would be a M1911A1 or reworked M1911.
Could also be the .22 caliber Colt "Ace" or a .22-45 conversion unit on a M1911 frame.
Right side.

Who knows, a neighbor may even have a basement full of these....

I'll also jump aboard the Argentine express. It's not a B-M model, however, as that latter one has the slide grip cut into three sets of notches, vice the standard pattern of 20 ;ines (18 slots).

Just curious John, was I right?

The top of the grip panel looks close to the slide serrations, but it could be the angle at which the photograph was taken.

So, is it an Argentine 1927 model semi-automatic pistol, or not? (They made most in .45 ACP, but there were some .22 calibre models also.)
