It's times like this when the blog can be an anchor - especially when you have something with the light and heat of the DoD blogging posts on Friday and Monday.  It drags you down and keeps you fixed to where you can't move.

But, whenever I ponder just letting the thing go, I get emails like this.

I just stumbled across your website and saw the story that you posted on August 31, 2007. 
 
As difficult as it was to read, I am glad that I found the story.  I have met several of the Vultures including Bob Shine, Jim Ewart, Denny O'Brien, Bob Good, and even Major Beauchamp (sp.).  I have spoken with several more over email, but none could recall with great clarity what had happened that day.

I'm glad the post was a service, and not a burden to him.  I know it could have gone either way.
 
We honor our fallen brothers and sisters when we get the chance.  It's a core piece of Castle Argghhh!.
 
And emails like that get me over the humps.  At least until someone's willing to pay me to do this full-time.
