Laughing Wolf has some fun - he visited Barrett Firearms, makers of some of those .50 caliber sniper rifles that have the California Legislature and their RINO Governor Schwarzegger all running scared. -the Armorer

Oh, and for those browsing the beer store shelves, trying to figure out what to buy, might I suggest some Labatt Blue?

On July 1st, Labatt will be making a special Canada Day delivery of Labatt Blue to our troops in Afghanistan...The Labatt Blue Bottle Drive will raise money for Military Families Fund, an agile and responsive fund that responds to the special-case needs of the Canadian Forces members and their families.
You can also send a Canada Day message to the troops in Afghanistan at the Labatt site. - Damian
*A term of art from the artillery. Harassment and Interdiction Fires. Back in the day, when you could just kill people and break things without a note from a lawyer, they were pre-planned, but to the enemy, random, fires at known gathering points, road junctions, Main Supply Routes, assembly areas, etc - to keep the bad guy nervous that the world around him might start exploding at any minute. Not really relevant to today's operating environment, right? But, it *is*. The UAVs we fly over Afghanistan and Pakistan looking for targets of opportunity are a form of H&I fires, if you really want to parse it finely. We just have better sensors and fire control now. Of course, now I have to call them UAS's, because someone got a Legion of Merit for the name change. Anyway, I call the post H&I Fires because it's random things posted by me and people I've given posting privileges to that particular topic. Another term of art that might be appropriate is Free Fire Zone.
Well, isn’t a little late?

AB 50 was signed by Governor Schwarzenegger in July of 2004. We could have used your help 4 years ago.

Labatt's Blue is the Ship's Beer on M/V Lofoten Girl, my home on the water. I'm leaving to go get her ready for the big July Cruise of the Lower Columbia River in a few minutes, and, it being a muggy day with fluid replacement MANDATORY, I'll hoist one or two or more Blues to Canada and the Newfoundland Regiment. Might even run up the Maple Leaf myself, since I have a nice one in the flag locker (right next to the Beer Flag).
