Attila,

Thanks for a great way to start a Saturady. I had to read it twice to see if there was any catch.

It was almost as good as the first headline I read over on Drudge:

"POLICE SAVE BEAVER IN THE EAST RIVER"

My heart slowed up when I read that it was a real beaver. But I still don't know how it got there. The East River normally kills on contact.

Thanks for reminding us of one salute to veterans.

Remember that today is also the anniversary of the battles of Lexington and Concord in 1775 when the bitter militia men, clinging to their guns and religion, stood up to the overwhelming force of the Crown to protect what was later described as their "lives, fortunes and sacred honor."

Today is also a day to honor those performing similar risky service on our behalf in distant lands. They protect the informed and grateful citizens of this great country, as well as the ignorant and ungrateful opponents of their sacrifice.

Sheepdogs, everywhere, from every time, thank you!
