      <![CDATA[<p>It's been confirmed:  <a href="http://news.cincinnati.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080330/NEWS01/303300031/-1/CINCI"><strong>SSG Keith "Matt" Maupin's remains </strong></a>have been positively id'd through DNA evidence.  </p>

<p>He's really gone.  It's something I've always "known", but somehow, getting that confirmation tonight is just numbing.</p>

<p>I keep finding myself saying "He's really gone", and breaking out in tears again.  His parents NEVER gave up believing that he would be found, alive, and brought home.  They were partially right- he was found, and will be brought home.. but not alive.</p>
