MITT Pulls the Face Curtain...
Well, looks like it's official...Romney is goin' up the rails, bailing out after finding an old fighter pilot saddled up at his high six while he continues to lose airspeed and altitude. All we need to hear now is that maddening "Guns, Guns, Guns" before acknowledging with an aileron roll and turn to exit the engagement.
Oh, well. I was a Thompson guy.
But, my disappointment and anger are being saved for people like Ann Coulter. She's a smart, if self-polarizing figure who's made a career of tweaking liberal noses, but her take-my-ball-and-go-home tantrum is a singular disappointment and worse than self-defeating...it's self-annihilating.
We may be defeated this November but I'd rather go down fighting than blow my political brains out, Japanese officer at Okinawa-style. Even the kamakazes hadn't contributed materially to the suffering of their countrymen when the homeland was occupied.
Voting for Hillary (or any Democrat in this day and age), I think, would.
So, John McCain is my man now. I won't even hold my nose when voting. There is A LOT he and I don't see eye-to-eye on but he's the Man in the Arena at the moment who best encapsulates where I think we should be headed, given the unacceptable alternative. In fact, there are a lot of positions he holds that I find much more agreeable than I (or anyone else) has given him credit for. In that light, I will support him unequivocally.
For a good example of adult thinking, I'm willing to bet that once Hugh Hewitt recovers from the shock of seeing his man pitch out of the fight, he'll set a great example of compromise and solidarity in supporting he who appears to be our choice--and our best chance--for beating the woman these people will be voting for. -Instapilot
P.S. I have been (ahem) accused of over-the-top invective when it comes to political postings, earning the unofficial title of "Attila of Argghhh!" I blame alcohol. Hey, it works for Green...
P.P.S: Heh. "accused of over-the-top invective" eh? As this little email snippet shows, you *embraced* the title!
