Not sure that charge is accurate. I think there are two issues here, how either side would address a "global war on terror" (which I think we both agree is a ridiculous phrase), and how the current war in Iraq has been/is being handled. Specific to Obama, who I support, yeah, he poorly explained (exploited) an anecdotal story that may be an indicator, but is not the standard. Not one of his better moments. But I am more annoyed by the right (Blackfire's blog in particular) assuming that Obama's story was false to begin with, instead of allowing time to see if in fact the administration's policies have in fact resulted in a second-tier standard for Afghanistan-bound troops.
