The Berzerkleyites(which are different than the people who simply are the residents of Berkeley) hate that. They go apechit. They'll be rude and crude and try to pick a fight. Be polite, and you win. Fight with them, and they win. You help them build the narrative they want(and have the infrastructure to build with the indymedia thing being the online home for them to put up their side of the story, which many news agency's mine, without a similar set-up for the other side). Be polite. or you could just do what I do: it's Berkeley, so who cares? Just cut the whole Bay area loose and treat it like a foreign country.
