Lieutenant Colonel Sam Milam taxies an A-10C Thunderbolt II to its new home Aug. 7 at Moody Air Force Base, Ga. This aircraft is the first of approximately 50 upgraded A-10Cs moving to Moody AFB as a part of a base realignment. The move is expected to be complete in early spring 2008 as aircraft are converted from A-10A to A-10C models. Colonel Milam is the 75th Fighter Squadron commander. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Parker Gyokeres) Say hello to the latest edition of the A-10, the A-10C. They've been deployed in Iraq for two months and thus far...

I went to sleep only to find myself thinking and even dreaming about this old bird. When we think about technology, either high or low, that is not the issue. The real target is appropriate technology. The A-10 Wart Hog is one ugly bird with A REAL BAD ATTITUDE. This is especially true if you are on the receiving end. Thank you!

The Wart Hog rocks! Glad to see the old air frame being upgraded for the Airmen.

Respectfully,

I snicker every time I see a Warthog. For two reasons. First, because it's such an incredibly ugly airplane. Second, because the brass have tried so many times to kill it, only to find out the hard way they still need it, because it does so many things that nothing else in the inventory can do.
