One more thing about Veteran's Day.

Caring for a dead veteran is easy...
bring a wreath,
say a few words and walk away.
Caring for a living veteran requires time, money
and a life-long commitment.
Every Veteran's Day our politicians show they don't
know the difference as they visit a cemetery
instead of a VA hospital

I'll exempt Nancy Boyda from this observation, because regardless of her views on the war - her heart is in the right place on the issue of taking care of veterans. I know this from personal experience and interaction.

But, Speaker Pelosi, Majority Leader Reid - how 'bout we send the VA spending bill to the President, eh?

The quote above is from the Snyders - who walk the walk when it comes to taking care of veterans who need help. Via the Agent Orange Quilt of Tears. My father is an Agent Orange casualty. I take this stuff personally.
