Open post for those with something to share, updated through the day. New, complete posts come in below this one. Note: If trackbacking, please acknowledge this post in your post. That's only polite. You're advertising here, we should get an ad at your place... Time to add a new caveat, because from email it's not clear to some folks (mind you, if you don't read this it won't matter...) Being an open post, people (collectively, the Denizens) other than I post in the H&I. They sign their work (most of the time) - keep that in mind when you...

Eric, I think that qualifies him as a REFF. Sub Father for Mother.
heh.

. . .Not that there's anything wrong with that.

To me the whole "Don't ask--Don't tell" is simply another way of saying that it is nobody else's business--unless you beat them over the head with it or sexually harass them. Maybe I'm an idiot.

But, I'm thinking that the guy needs (perhaps) his own special acronym. Just sayin.

So, was the gay guy asking the question in the "you tube debate" a fighting General--or a REMF?

The plant thing. I find it rather odd that it happened given the number of democrat web-tivists complaining that CNN promised no such thing would happen. CNN, on air, promised that there would be no 'gotcha' questions from democrat activists allowed. Wolf Blitzer said so(and isn't he like 'God' at CNN?).

Reminds me of my former friend Burnett back when I was at Davis. He and his little band of enviro-nuts felt no compunction against registering to vote republican, and organizing campaigns to get thousands more to do so, just so they could vote the weakest candidate in the primaries. Dirty tricks seems to be okay to them, so long as they get what they want.

This kind of thing still surprises me when I hear about it!

I think its just the idea that CNN believes they could get away with it without really trying to cover their tracks.

Anyways, this idea that the states ought to decide whether or not to legalize the killing of innocent babies is inherently vile and evil. Anyone who makes such an argument (like Ron Paul, Fred Thompson, etc.) is by definition a bad person.

To get a better idear of what I'm talking about check out this analysis of Ron Paul's response to a question asked on YouTube about abortion a few months back.
